Funny story yesterday.
I’m in my kitchen making ramen noodles, and suddenly I start hearing an occasional…SQUAWK.
I’m thinking…well…maybe our new neighbors brought in a pet bird. Or also maybe, something is squeaky on our roof (which was just worked on). But I kept hearing it, and my husband hadn’t heard anything about a parrot next door.
So I peek outside, and sure enough there’s a parrot next to our kitchen window. I get my husband and I’m like HEY. PARROT.
Parrot?
PARROT.
So we both walk back to the door and he’s sitting right on the edge of the door looking at us like, “ok let me in now”. I open the door, and sure enough, the little dude just wanders in.
So long story short, I have a parrot now and I’d really like to see if I can find his owners because I have no idea what to do with a bird. The link above will take you to a craigslist ad.

Also in the meantime I’ve named him Boddaert after the naturalist who assigned quaker parrots their binomial. He is obvs not interested.
