When people are denied wheelchairs because they can walk, an important thing is missed.
They can’t walk
yes, they can physically walk. That’s not what I mean.
What I mean is,
Can they walk to the store and back? Can they do so safely? Can they do so and still have energy left for the day? For the week?
Can they walk at home? yes? Ok, but does doing so leave them with enough energy to leave? To go to school, work, out with friends, on errands? Is it safe?
Can they walk long enough to go places, enjoy things, to do what they could do if they had mobility aids?
Yes, being able to walk, even a little, is different than not being able to walk at all.
But it’s not the same as being able to walk, without consequences, without fear of safety, for “long distances”
So when you deny someone mobility aids because they can still walk, because you want them to still walk, you’re missing something.
If they’re asking for mobility aids, their mobility is already limited. They’re already not walking as often because they can’t. Mobility aids won’t change that. But they can actually improve mobility, and allow for more opportunities to go out and be active.

Salt water fish are expensive and difficult to care for. Some like clown fish can be bred in captivity, but some like the blue tang cannot be meaning that they need to be kidnapped from the ocean. Additionally, blue tangs can get VERY BIG.
Target has these new toys that are water activated, so they’ll swim around in a bowl just like fish. They come as dory, nemo, and marlin. They make a fantastic alternative to real fish.
TL;DR Dont buy kids real saltwater fish after Finding Dory, get them these toys from Target instead

Hi! Sorry to hijack your post but I thought maybe I could help with this. I suffer from chronic migraines and use gdocs A LOT for my previous jobs and currently for writing. The white background is murder and your brightness levels can only provide so much mercy.
I wasn’t aware of this add-on and I do love me some pastels, but I found out about an add-on called Dark Reader for chrome. My previous job required a lot of excel and data crunching so WHITE EVERYWHERE PAIN AUGH.
I’ll be using the images from the add-on previews since my computer is hella slow.
Dark reader is basically a color inversion add-on, but a little smarter. Sometimes it inverts photos, sometimes it doesn’t.
What I really love it is how it’s customizable
You can turnit on or off easily and set the preferences to your liking.
Absolute FAVE thing about it is that you can assign urls or websites you want darkened or excluded. So, say, you’re okay with Tumblr’s default colors you can have that excluded. Inversely, you can just put in the url of your gdoc document so that it’s the only thing inverted.
It’s been a real wonder for me and my migraines. I use it in combination with f.lux and lowest brightness settings. Hope this helps, and again, sorry for the hijack!

especially anti-psychs and SNRIs, these meds increase your body temp and the more you take, the more it does that. You are NOT just “feeling the heat” if you start to feel like you have sunstroke this Summer. You will most likely get it before anyone else so treat yourself as you would treat a small child. Ensure that you stay hydrated and keep an eye on yourself!
I had to remind myself of this because I’ve been feeling the heat a LOT since my dosage was increased and it can actually lead to your meds fucking up/you getting really sick!
And be careful because often the full effects of the sun on you don’t show up until later! I once had my body swell up hours after being out and it was horrible. If you’re on antipsychotics especially please stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and try to stay in the shade!

If Bernie can’t even get the nom in the primary, why would he get enough write ins to stand a chance to win the Gen Election? Plus, there are some states where you can’t even write in. Listen, the last time something like this happened, Ralph Nader run in the Green party and split the Democratic votes between Nader and Gore. Which allowed for George W. Bush to become president.
DO YOU WANT THE SAME THING TO HAPPEN TO TRUMP?
The two-party system sucks, but pretty much the way our system is set up, any vote that is not for the Democratic nominee will be for Trump. The only votes that count against Trump are for the Democratic nominee, whoever that may be.
So don’t write anybody in. It’s throwing away your vote. You might think it’s a political statement and in another election I might advocate for it, but THERE IS THE LEGITIMATE CHANCE THAT DONALD TRUMP COULD BE ELECTED INTO OFFICE. And nobody, particularly not Hillary Clinton, is a bad enough alternative that it is worth running the risk. Remember what it was like when Bush was in office? Trump will be that times 1000x, with extra blatant xenophobia, racism, homophobia, and misandry thrown on top.
I’m pro-Bernie, but I’m much more anti-Trump. Whoever runs against Trump in the Democratic party has my vote. I hope he or she has yours too.
