(Ok this one is impossible to understand for non-french people. There is a french TV show called “Fort Boyard” here. The candidates have to pass tests to get the keys of the next rooms. (by fighting opponents, or getting it in a jar full of giant spiders, or climbing a wall…) One of the tests is an old man telling a riddle: if the candidate doesn’t answer right, he drops the key in the sea and the loser has to dive to get it.)

These two are singing “O magnum mysterium” by Tomas Luis De Victoria! It’s a very pretty piece from the renaissance that has a lot of different voice parts singing totally different melodies that mesh well together. I sung tenor for a song of his as well. It sounds ethereal in cathedrals and bathrooms alike my opinion. Its the room’s ability to bounce sound and make it resonate, giving it it’s “mermaid siren” like quality. It sounds great. Congratulations, you both! Sounds very pretty and seems like a fun time to clean with things like that.

In order to better understand how D/deaf and Hard of Hearing people and people with Auditory Processing Disorder/Deficit operate, it’s essential to take an in-depth look at what sound is and how exactly hearing works with the human brain. We hear with our brain, not our ears. Hearing is not always consistent. It’s unfair to hold D/HH/APD people to an unrealistic standard with the presumption that people can only be profoundly deaf or completely hearing, with no middle ground. The reality is, hearing in and of itself is vastly complex. There’s so much we don’t understand about how the brain works. Let’s continue to educate ourselves on these matters.

one word: Toxoplasmosis.
It’s a parasite that infects small animals, namely rodents and sometimes birds, and takes control of their brains. They lose fear of predators, in some cases becoming attracted to them. The hope for the parasite is that they’ll be eaten so they can carry on their life cycle through feces that’s eaten by another rodent.
To the person who thought they would do some fact-dropping and throw out the ‘toxoplasmosis’ card without actually doing fact checking themselves.

Toxoplasmosis (T.gondii) is a feline-related affliction. It can only procreate inside a cat, or other members of the feline family. However, it can be transferred to other species, and often does so without those species ever being aware of it.
Something like 70% of domestic cats in America have T.gondii. Cows, pigs, horses, domesticated and wild animals can have t. gondii.
It manifests in symptoms of cysts and rashes (internal and external) including your lungs and brains, but only if your immune system is unable to keep it in check.
Feeding wild animals doesn’t increase your chances of getting T.gondii any more than drinking unpasteurized milk, or eating eggs, or owning a cat.
There is no known correlation between toxoplasmosis and animals ‘losing fear of predators’. Most people can have it and not know, unless you have a weakened immune system to the degree of HIV/AIDS in which case it can manifest itself as flu-like symptoms and even seizures.
